She pockets her own tab, "A little chaos. One of the cargo holds have been converted to holding the relics alone. It needs security, and each need to be sealed and treated seperately for transport. It's complicated really." she says as she leads him toward the door.

"Oh dear. I hope all goes well," Jin said as he followed along, a step beside her. He felt the difference in rank, for some reason he didn't think he should walk next to her. Besides that, she was also showing him where the holodecks were. "... How many relics are on the ship?"

She makes a brisk walk anyways, her gait is always as long as possible to be as fast as possible, she's a little used to people trailing behind. "Well, depends, some where too big and we could only have parts. Some are the rightful property of the indigenous people, so we only have information and samples. One I collected of my own... about five... only a couple functioning." she replies calmly after the mental calculation.

"Wow. That's fascinating. Would I be permitted to see them all?" He asked, the spark of curiousity returning to his eyes. He kept up easily to the Captain, not wanting to lose her on the way to the holodecks. What he really wanted access to, though, was the relics. He wanted to see them, to study them, to memorize their files. It would be such an incredible experience, a wealth of knowledge to be found and absorbed. He wanted it, so very much.

"Some are... quite dangerous." she pauses. "But I did hire you to the crew for your expertise in that field. "
She says looking over her shoulder as she moves into an elevator.
"But I would not mind taking you down there after I show you the holodeck, as I am making my way to the Cargo Vault now. I must warn you, getting too close might ... set them off."

Jin listened attentively to her concerns and instructions, following her into the turbo lift and moving to the wall. His face lit up at the idea of being able to see the relics.
"I understand the degree of caution that must be taken with artifacts, and that I must be even better with these. I will cause no trouble Captain, I swear on it." He vowed with a smile. He really wanted to seeeee the relics! He had only heard about them before, now he could see them?!

She steps out and points him. "These are the doors to the holodecks. There are five total." she points down the hall, but is holding the elevator open with one hand.

Jin leaned out as well, near her arm that was pointing. They were close enough for her to smell his faint cologne, that complimented his body chemistry nicely. "Oh, I see now." He said with a nod, familiarizing himself. He went back in the lift and checked the reader that told them what floor they were on, and nodded himself again. "Okay, yes, I am set. I know why they are now, I will be sure to pay them a few visits."

"Good, step back in." she says as she does so herself, still keeping the door open for them both with a hand.

Jin did as told quickly, standing beside her and waited for the lift doors to close. As much as his excitement compelled him to bounce in place, he refrained from doing so. He glanced to he Captain, and then looked back to the doors of the lift. Nope, do not think about how pretty your superior is. That's a death sentence. Instead, he wondered about the relics, and how he could get his hands on the files to soak up their knowledge and information.

She has no idea he is looking and ordering what floor from the Computer. The lights flash as they do to indicate floors and make a light whirring. She seems to read into her PADD without much attention to his glances, before hoofing it at a high rate toward their next destination. The Cargo Vault was indeed once just a cargo hold, but now it's been carefully tricked out by security features, both to keep people out, and everyone else safe from the relics. She stands in front a body scanner, and give her voice code, it finally confirms everything, allowing her in. "One guest." she also says as the security force field tries to keep him out.

The security both filled him with excitement and filled him with worry, as well as with curiosity. Were they really that dangerous? He wondered. He watched the Captain go through the procedure, and had actually bumped into the force field with an off. He pressed his hand to it, and then smiled when he felt it dissipate. How interesting. Jin stepped through once he was cleared, anxious to see what wondering the ship had to behold.

She taps on a large console. "This is where most of the data is stored, even individual accounts of effects, scientific tests and data collected, etc. etc." she waves her hand in the air, then points around the room. There are large metal boxes containing some, while others are on display in class cases like a museum. The closest is one in glass and looked to be just ... huge near building sized pieces, a title card says, "Klingon Moon Hologram Projector- Non- Functioning."

The fire of curiousity in Jin's eyes twinkled with excitement as he ran over and gazed up at the artifact, with child-like awe and wonder. He pressed his hands to the glass, looking up at it, taking in every beautiful angle, curve, chip, and crack-- every inch speaking volumes, begging to be read, pleading for it's witness testimony to be heard.
"Facsinating!" The word came out in a breathy exhale, as if it was the gust of breath that came from him being punched in the stomach. There were so many more of these artifacts to take in! He wasn't going to sleep for a while. He had too many files to read, too much information to absorb.

"The science officers have done most preliminary testing, and you can do basic research without touching at the lab desk in the middle."
She looks ... a little TOO proud of her little collection. "Each one does have quite a bit of a story, and a mystery." ...yes, just a little too smug.
