Jin was witting in the Gaelic Pesos, a bowl of cold soup beside him and tea that had long since cooled. Off in a corner near the doors, he sat with his tab in front of him, flicking around on it as he went through research that he as delved into on a particular artifact. Learning it's history, its life, filled him with curiosity and a hunger to find out more, one that could never be quite satisfied without the knowledge of complete history and origin. He had ear buds in, classical music playing in his ears as he pushed his bangs out of his face, what few of them had fallen out of their slicked-to-the-side position. His eyes scanned over words, flickering with delight as he learned more still. Only when his gaze flicked up by coincidence did he notice the fiery red hair of the Captain in its constrained chaos. Oh, what a surprise. He wondered if she would come his way, they'd had quite the way connection over their shared passion. He would like to discuss it more with her, if she had the time.

She seems to be busy herselfm nose in her own book, eating something she can take on the move, and waiting, standing while eating for the synthisizer prepares her morning coffee, very hot. Perhaps a bit too hot. She waves her hand above it, sighs and waits a little for it to cool down. She is definately multitasking, occassionally getting calls from the cargo hold and those on duty there to ask things like 'cold storage', 'heat storage', and 'gonna get weird again'. Clearly, preparing for something.

Jin had taken out one of his ear buds to listen, being a little nosey as the curiosity started to get the best of him, but then he got a little nervous. Should he talk to the Captain? She was very very busy, he wasn't sure if it would be appropriate. He looked to the food he had abandoned, and felt a pang of guilt. He's had the time to sit and eat it, and he had wasted it, while the Captain had to stand and eat. He sighed and stuck the buds in his pocket and tucked the tab under his arm, taking care of his plate and tea as he gave himself a pep talk to go over and talk to her. If she is too busy, he told himself, she will say so and rush off. His biggest worry was inconveniencing her, not confronting her. That he was fine with. He decided to walk over and give it a go. As he neared the captain, he smiles. "Good day, Captain. How are you?" He asked, his teeth milky white against his creamer-and-coffee skin.
VexedVortex
She looks up from her book as if she was actually surprised someone was talking to her- well, in a manner in which small talk was made, not asking for her decision on something. She smiles in a tiny, but polite way. "Good evening. I've done better, but, to be honest, excited. Yourself?"
avi
He took note of her surprise and felt a mixture of some pity and a small amount of appeal, finding it kind of cute. He put his hand in his pocket casually, adjusting the grip on his tab so that he wouldnt drop it and smash it to bits... It wouldnt be the first time. "Always well, thank you. If you don't mind me asking, what's the cause for excitement? Or is it to be a surprise?" His smile remained ever-present, simply changed... Tone.
VexedVortex
She laughs a little. "Most wouldn't have to ask... or would regret asking..." she shakes her head a little. "Work, of course. The next plant is actually quite easy to get along with..." she pauses and looks him over. "This would be your first relic... correct?"
avi
His smile brightened with excitement, the curiosity igniting in his dark eyes. "Indeed. I have to say I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to work on such a project... So I take it the relic is what causes your excitement as well?"
VexedVortex
"Yes... though, generally, my crew has been... wary of them." she pauses and asks what would seem to be a odd, out of place segway to, "You have renewed your psyche-test recently, correct?"
avi
Jin blinked. Well, that was an odd question. Maybe it was a right of passage? He didn't know. He figured he would find out. "I have, yes. Why do you ask?" It was a curious question.
VexedVortex
She rubs her long nose lightly with and index finger. "A-hem. I really should ask it more often of the new soilders." she smirks at him.
avi
"... Something tells me I am in for quite the adventure, aren't I, Captain?" He said, watching her body language and his smile lessening a little with worry, but then it brightened again. "I suppose adventure is adventure, nonetheless."
VexedVortex
"Well, researchers like yourself should make the process easier on all of us. I hope you can keep yours wits about you." she says looking adventurous, with even a little proud.
avi
He bowed his head to her. "I will do my best not to fail you." He smiled. "Will I be fortunate enough to get a sneak peak into my future assignment?"
VexedVortex
She pauses to consider, "Well, I suppose there's no real harm to it." she checks her tab for a moment. "I suppose I have a couple minutes." ...there was a beeping from her com, and she answers a question, 'No, it won't even be loaded on unless the S'seehs allow, please. Relax." She turns toward him and motions to a table and hold up a finger in a 'one moment' gesture.
avi
Jin just nodded with a smile and went and pulled out a chair for her for when she was ready, then sat across from the chair in his own before setting his tab down on the table, tempted to open his research back up again. He didn't mind waiting on the captain, he was also just really into his work, and liked spending a majority of his time in it because it brought him joy. He waited for the Captain's next free moment, patiently.
VexedVortex
She comes to sit next to him and puts her tab before him, then points at his and opens her hand demandingly. "If you would please, lend me that."
avi
"Of course." He said without hesitation, and picked his up, placing it in her hand for her to use as she saw fit.
