"I am not very coordinated when it comes to sports... I am afraid that if I attempted to play, I would be the first." He admitted lightheartedly, a sheepish smile as he looked down at the table for a moment before back up to her face.

She smiles at him, and shakes her head, patting him on the shoulder in both a motherly and leader-like way, "Well, I didn't hire you for you for security. You'll manage."

He chuckled. "And for that I am glad for. I think I would end up phasing myself by accident, trying to figure out how it worked." Jin said, sitting back in his chair and crossing his arms to get more comfortable.

The Captain gets a sudden serious face and looks over the man. "You should at least get good at the phaser for you own protection. The universe is not a safe place." her lips are carefully tight and chiding.

Jin made a mental note of the sudden change, and did not object. "... Of course. How would I go about such a thing?" He asked, willing to put himself at personal danger to please the Captain. Though, it was also for personal safety. It was quite conflicting.

"Oh, there are several good simulations in the holodecks, where you can learn in no real danger. " she replies calmly. "I am appalled you didn't get basic training at the academy."

"I did," He said, rubbing the back of his spotted neck. "But I didn't retain much of it. My mind was more focused on other things... I guess I am going to have to make a trip or two to the holodecks."

Jin mirrored her smile. He smiled so much, didn't his face hurt? Ever? No, it didn't. He could lift weights with his cheek muscles.
"Yes, Captain." He said with that same charming smile, and ran his hand through his hair to push it back out of his face and hopefully get the gel to re-adhere the pieces that kept falling in his face, back to his head. He always had that issue.
((-in the background, avi with her protective goggles, slowly begins turning up the level of charm-))

"I most certainly planned on it." Jin said, smiling. "Unless there is a problem...?" He asked, concerned he might not be allowed to go for some unforeseen reason... Maybe something that has to do with a phaser.... he sure hoped not. Ugh.

"The inhabitants are extremely peaceful. And they say the relic is a symbol of peace as well. They have invited the crew to come and go as we please." she nods, "And although I expect everyone to be on their most formal behavior, I don't think we will need to be defensive."
She pauses to consider, "Have you settled in?"

Jin nodded to her information on the planet and its inhabitants. a signal that he understood and was retaining it. He smiled at her question.
"I have, quite nicely actually. I now just have to memorize the layout of the ship, do a bit of exploring. I have managed to find this place," He chuckled. "And I think I know where the holodecks are... Think, not for certain."

"I can lead you to them on my way to the cargo hold." she says, standing, having now finished her bread, but have half a coffee in one hand.
