Hello everyone, these are some simple rules to help you when you are creating and posting your Character Profiles. These rules are subject to change or have more added on as time passes.
Are you thinking about joining? A few things you need to do and know beforehand:
The USS Quincy is a new Galaxy-Class starship in the year 2376 (just after DS9) so most races are allowed, given they fit the timeline.
We can work around most issues (like having a Cardassian aboard); if you have a good explanation for your character's race and background, we will allow it. We also welcome a made-up race, which is always fun.
We are quite strict with our Starfleet rules, since we also want to stay believable. Please take no offense if we give you a suggestion as to your character or give a bit of criticism, as it doesn't mean we believe your character to be not good enough or ill-structured, it may just mean that we (the Founder and Co's) don't personally think or believe the character would be allowed aboard the ship by Starfleet standards or that the background would fit as described.
We also will not force you to change the character, but we also won't change our rules for them. Please understand.
Okay, so let's lay down some character rules.
Here is a basic bio to fill out for your character if you're wondering what kind of information we'd like to have:
Name:
Species:
Age:
Rank:
Division:
Appearance:
Personal Background:
Other Info:

Okay, so let's lay down some character rules.
- Your first character should start with a rank from Lieutenant Junior Grade and below, and also must be species that exists within the Star Trek universe.
- For people who know they want to join the forum, you must first introduce yourself and your character. After the green light is given--mod approval--you can then become a member of the group.
- If you prove to be active enough and show that you can handle a higher ranking, your character may be promoted.
- Starting members are allowed one character until they've been around for at least two weeks. After this process you are granted after up to four, and you're allowed to make a non-existent species. Although this does not mean you have to have four characters-- most of us have one or two.
- Keep characters within good reasoning. This means that your character makes sense to the Trek universe. Doing a little research into time, place and regulations never hurt anyone. EX: If this were in the TOS timeline, it wouldn't make sense to propose a Klingon character. If you don't do any research, again, do not be surprised if we tell you something doesn't fit, as we like to keep things sensible. We won't make you change it, but give advice on how it would work out.
- Related to the above rule: NO MARY SUES.
- If you have any questions about character creation, feel free to ask!
