His mother had more respect for him than his father. But both his parents approved of him more than his brother did. A pity, really. He would have liked to have an honest family. As it were, only his mum would send him messages. They were awkward and stiff--almost formal. She tried, and he appreciated it. The latest one informed him of how the family was doing--with a mention of how his brother was second in command on the ship he was on. Good for K"tar. Argan was an ambassador. He felt that was more successful.
Argan was working on a response back to her, sitting at one of the booths in GP with an empty plate pushed to the side and a half empty glass in front of him.

All the sudden, a tiny strawberry-blonde woman plopped down in the seat in front of him. "Hiya!" She bubbled happily. "You look a little lonely. Mind of I sit here? Too bad if you do, as I'm already sitting. But it's nice to meet you all the same. I'm Sadie."

The Klingon jerked and nearly dropped his PADD and knocking over his glass, but he managed to fumble for both and nothing too bad happened. "Hello." That was expected of him. Yes. He squinted at the lady. She was unfamiliar. Like completely unfamiliar. But something about her face...looked familiar. "Argan. When did you join?"

"Starfleet or the ship? I'm an Ensign but I enlisted in Starfleet just as soon as they told me that I could. I've been on this ship for about 2 weeks but I've lived on ships for almost my entire life. My mother is a captain." She was smiling brightly, watching him with a keen observer's eye.

"My mother is not a captain. She was a warrior, but now she teaches combat styles. Still a warrior, I suppose." He watches her just as keenly. "You look familiar, but I know we've never met before."

"Maybe you've met me in your dreams, cutie." She winked. "But more probably you recognize some of my features as the ones I share with the very famous Klingon slayer." She teased him and grinned the entire time.

"I doubt it would have been in my dreams. I tend to dream of battle. Or of very strange things." Klingon slayer? Wait. He studied her a moment more, now that he had something to reference to. "The doctor. Lamb." Oh.

"Lamb? Oh darling, we've only just met. Isn't it a bit early for pet names?" Oh yes, more teasing. "But I suppose you could be referring to my Grandad, the CMO." She gave him a very cheeky smile. "And I think I'd like to hear more about these dreams of yours."

Truth be told, he wasn't entirely certain how to handle this teasing. Teasing usually ended in ass kicking. Argan's gaze flicked around for a moment before settling on Sadie again. "Just fighting. Sometimes I'm fighting my brother and his friends. Or I'm in historical battles."

"Sounds like fun!" She gushed. "But I prefer my fights to be while I'm awake. I can kick the ass of almost everyone in my graduating class. And I have too."

"You are a warrior, too?" Oh, yes. He's intrigued. "Tell me of your battles."

"I haven't been in any real battles exactly." She pouted. "Just...fights. Lots of them."

Lots? Hmm. "Then tell me of your best fight."

"Well my freshman year in Academy, I took on 5 upperclassmen. I KO'd three of them. The other two...well I got in a few god punches but they did break my arm so I guess it's only fair." She was grinning proudly. "I would have been in security but my advisory thought that was a bad idea since I liked starting the fights..."

"There is nothing wrong with starting fights," the Klingon said with a snort. "Best to take out your opponent first. Sometimes, that leaves a bit of a grey area, though. Then you're called a coward. Then you have to beat any doubts out of them."
