The Tuv'nii scowled, shoulders hunching. "I was supposed to be a pilot, not security. Stone was in my class. I was doing pretty good, too. Somehow, he managed to take me out of the running. I never did figure out how he did it. I think he sabotaged my simulation."

Gregori shrugged, "I know he is slightly understaffed. I bet he was pleased that you applied for a transfer after the Darwin. Besides Lamb is a protective man. He would not forgive one of his people getting hurt. Haven't you noticed?" Gregori seemed distracted as usual as he programmed in the food into the replicator. He didn't seem to bother to ask, he just guessed what she would want after the years together.

Ryne smiled, watching her. He certainly wasn't going to try and make her wear shoes. She was comfortable without them. Besides, she walked funny with shoes on, and he much preferred this lithe grace.
Oh, yes, she knew he was protective. She felt it often. Lo touched his arm to get his attention. 'Can you blame him? Besides, good healers are hard to find.'

She thought so, too. Lo then almost pushed Greg back to the table, and moved the PADDs to the side, putting her hand over the stack.

They are so intrinsically bound to the culture that they are a part of. That they are seen as natural occurance. Yet they were clearly designed by someone or something with knowledge beyond our ken. It is fasinating. Interesting. Exciting." Gregori's eyes were alight with excitement, "Sorry got carried away. Just work I am afraid."

Greg obviously needed more first hand experience with the relics. She didn't like the blasted things. Didn't hate them, just...she would rather not have to deal with them. 'I am glad you are enjoying them.'
