Dronus sat in the Security Bay, watching the cameras that showed the various parts of the ship, keeping an eye out for trouble. THere wasn't any, as per usual. In a way it was good; there were nice civilized people aboard, and everyone got along for the most part. No trouble was to be had. But, for Dronus, that was a little... Boring. He was used to the strife and business of the Imperial Guard on Andoria. There was always something to do, always something to train for, some new obstacle or test to observe skills that were either honed or not, always trying to find a weakness and dispose of it accordingly. Even though the arduous had wreaked havoc on him after his... Incident, he suffered through it for the most part. He was used to that life style. This... Not so much. Oh well.
Dronus allowed himself to sit back in the chair and cross his arms, continuing to focus on the screens.

She didn't have class, and Ryne was busy doing tending the bar, so Zoe had planned on visiting R'Mash while she was working. But upon entering security through the ventilation shafts, her Caitian mama wasn't there. But the blew man was there. She hadn't gotten to talk to the blue man. So Zoe strode on over, green tail swishing. "Whatcha watchin', mister?" she asked, climbing into his lap.

Dronus had though he'd heard a presence approaching, but when he looked down it was a small girl, he blinked in shock. What was she doing here? And then she- OH MY UZEVEK SHE'S CLIMBING ON HIM. Dronus bristled, going rigid in his chair and his hands going up in alarm. He didn't like shaking HANDS with strangers, let alone people SITTING ON HIM. "I-I am monitoring the ship for trouble," He told the child. "So that if any occurs, I can address it immediately." He coughed. "Would you mind... Climbing off, of me, please?" Dronus asked as nicely as he could. He had NO experience with children, so he would be amazed if he didn't make her cry for one reason or another.

The little face scrunched adorably. Why was he asking her to get off? Ooo, standy up things on top of his head. Curious, she reached up and touched his antenna, but upon feeling the rush of uncomfortableness and overall not happy with the situation she slid off. She disappeared for a moment, and came back with her own chair, setting it up next to his. "I will help. I'm good at this kind of thing. I play space battles all the time in the holodecks so I'm good at watchin' for trouble. Never know when a Warbird is gonna come up on your flank and shoot ya right outta the sky!"

Dronus had leaned away as soon as she touched his antennae-- what was it about them that everyone liked so much?!-- but was relieved when she crawled off and brought back a chair. He looked back to the monitors. A he listened to her, he approved of her activities. "That is nice to hear," He said. "Thank you for your assistance." He sighed a little. "Unfortunately though, nothing really happens much on this ship... No warbirds to surprise us." He wasn't familiar with the game, but he didn't want to make her feel ENTIRELY unwanted.

She nodded, sitting up on her knees, tail wrapped around the chair to keep her there. "We just have weird things happen. And a lot of love. Which is good. K'lanii teaches us to love one another so a ship full of everybody loving each other is a good thing. Do you love anybody, mister? I don't mate love anybody yet. But I love plenty of people. Like my mama. You probably know her. She's R'Mash."

Dronus didn't look at the child as she spoke, as he had to do his boring job, but he was listening. This whole interacting with children thing was new to him. Good thing she seemed patient... And a little chattery. "I know of her, yes." The blue man said, although, the rest he was more hesitant to respond to. He wouldn't answer it unless she persisted... and then he would have to think about it.

"And then Miss T'Sai. But she and my daddy don't get along." Her face falls for a moment, but then she perks right back up, pointing at the screens. "Captain Anii! I've talked to her. I think she's a good captain. Do you think she's a good captain? Hey, mister? What's your name? And what are those things on your head? Why don't you got ears? Wait! Are those standy up things your ears? Can your swoosh them around like R'Mash's ears can?"

Dronus blushed, looking to the little girl for a moment before looking back at the monitors. Wow, that was a lot of questions all at once. Did he want to answer all of them? "Captain Flynn is an excellent Captain. My name is ArlithroDronus th'Idrani, the things on my head are my antennae, and I both see and hear with them. And," He glanced to her, having never done this before, and was going to feel very, very silly. He looked around, making sure so one was around, and then made them do circles before wiggling them in a rather amusing way. Oh gods this was embarrassing, she better appreciate this, as well as the fact he was being truthful with her. Dronus trusted NO ONE. Well... Almost no one.

Zoe practically squealed, laughing. "Oh, oh, watch this!" She wiggled her nose in a manner reminiscent of a certain 20th century Earth witch. "My name's Zoe Jane, but everybody calls me Zoe. Nice to meet you, Mister ArlithroDronus I Can't Remember The Last Part."

Dronus glanced around again, to make sure no one was looking... In case he managed a smile. This little girl was quite the charmer. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Zoe... The last part was th'Idrani." He told her, deciding to let her make up her own nickname for him as she saw fit. He was interested in seeing what she came up with.

"Ya got a really long name." But if he had a nickname, he would have offered it. And since he didn't, then she was gonna give him one. Zoe eyed him, tapping her chin with a fingertip. Aalekenii? But that was kinda long, too. "Can I call you 'Aalek'?"

Dronus looked up at the question. That didn't have any relation to his name, except for the A, really. It must have been a part of her own language. His Antennae curled in curiosity. "... What does it mean?" He asked as he looked back at the monitors.

There is a clanking noise from the connected security workroom, clearly, someone had shown up to workout with the gravity weights. He or she or it can't been seen as of yet, but the tempo of machinery, occasional self pep-talk like cursing (in various languages) and grunting indicates they are no longer alone.
