Hello everyone! These rules are here to guide you as you use this forum and participate in the boards and threads.
- Introduce yourself in the Player Introductions board before posting a Crewmember Profile or roleplaying.
- A member of staff must approve your Crewmember Profile before you start to RP with that crewmember. At the moment, one character for new members. We would prefer when you join that you only use one character that you will play with for a week so we can get to know you and your character. Also we ask that this first character is not an original species. After some time has passed and your first character has developed, we are currently allowing up to four characters, as we have many very creative members who love making new species.
- Be kind and courteous to all fellow members and staff! Play nice. We ask that everyone plays fair and respects each other. We're here to make friends and roleplay, so we don't need extra conflict between persons. Be nice in the threads, since if you are being disrespectful to any one of the fellow members you will be kicked from the room and the group.
- Likewise, keep drama out of the ShoutBox, which is to be used mainly for seeing who is online and asking for people to roleplay.
- Make sure that you are posting in the correct board/subboard for your RP's location.
- Ask politely to RP with someone, and if they decline, do not pester them. Likewise, please ask before you join someone else's thread.
- Keep general chatter to the Subspace Communications board. If you need to make an OOC comment on an RP thread, designate it in some way, but keep it RP-related.
- Please use proper punctuation and grammar. Within the Quincy we have quite a few older persons as well as younger ones. We like it when people speak properly but we're fine as long as we understand what you are saying--excluding text speak.
- We require an age no younger than 14. But do not let this deter you, we are willing to make exceptions. This is merely a safeguard.
- We encourage our members to make prompt suggestions. All suggestions may be done in the Subspace Communications board.
- No god-modding. We will give you helpful suggestions, but this rule is important. Please take no offense if we give you a suggestion for your character or give a bit of criticism, as it doesn't mean your character is bad, it may just mean that we (the Founder and Co's) don't personally think or believe the character would be allowed aboard the ship by Starfleet standards or that the background would fit as described. We will not force you to change the character, but we also won't change our rules for them.
