Leida stood before the large windows, her arms crossed as she gazed out at the ever distant specks of light that were other stars. She came here whenever she had to think. Something about the stars helped her roll through her thoughts and process them easier, she didn't know why. She sighed, leaning her forehead against the cold glass. She had Aaron on her mind. They had been seeing each other for such a long time now- from what she had seen in most Terran culture, couples wee more often than not, intimate with each other by now. For a while she was just figuring that he was being a Terran gentleman, but by now, she was getting a little worried. She loved him, she wanted to be with him. Hell, if they had done things the way they did on Delta, she would've had him after hello-- but, she had wanted to be good with Aaron, so she waited... And waited, and waited, and then waited some more. And now she was still waiting. She sighed. Was it her? Did she do something wrong? She craved that unity with him, that closeness. She was a female, and a Deltan one. She had her physical needs you know.
Suddenly, the sound of a greeting startled her out of her thoughts, making her squeak in surprise and jump away from the window.
"Oh! H-Hi, hello!"

"WHHHOOOOOOoooa! That took you like... ten minutes!" exclaims Zixx, who had said hello some time ago... before getting distracted and looking up, trying to see what was so interesting to the woman.

Leida blushed at realizing how long she had been 'ignoring' Zixx, without realizing. So rude, Leida. "I-I'm so sorry!" She apologized. "I-I was just deep in thought, I-I didn't realize... My name is Leida," She said, deciding to introduce herself. Finally.

"I'm Zixx!" She inches closer, inches away from her face. "Are you new?"

Leida didn't mind the closeness much. Deltans were used to being much, much closer. Leida just smiled.
"No, actually. I've been here for a while. I teach the children aboard the ship," She explained. "What about you?" She asked.

"Oh! I don't have any kids!" She announced loudly, misinterpreting the question.

"Oh! No, I didn't mean the children, but that's nice to know. I meant, how long have you been aboard the ship?" Leida clarified. Oops, she hadn't meant to be unclear. Geeze, her relationship 'problems' were getting in the way of EVERYTHING.

Poor Leida just doesn't know Zixx yet.
"Oh! I've been with the pod since the first crew recruitment!" She perks up. She just barely made the cut as the lowest level engineer.

"That's wonderful." Leida smiled. Oh wow, an engineer, and a member that has been here for quite some time. "I bet you have a lot of stories to tell, having been on the ship for so long." She said. Leida had only been here for the one relic... That still gave her chills. Ugh.

Zixx grabs her and shakes her a lot. "Ihavesomanystories." She blurs out in one flowing word, when it was supposed to be a sentence. "Who do you need to know about?" Asks the Gossip Kid.

Leida went rigid and gave a series of squeaks each time she was shoved back or forth. With the skin contact, Zixx could feel and hear Leida's thoughts, and emotions-- which, at the time she was being shaken, were 'Oh my goo-oo-oo-oodness!' with a lot of surprise, and then some dizziness.
"I-I don't know, y-your favorites?" Amid her dizziness and surprise of being shaken, Zixx could also feel her curiosity to know what Zixx did. "And, ah, I should tell you I am touch telepathic..." She added, in case Zixx wasn't comfortable with that.

"OhMYGoodness!" Oh, god. This is amazing! And excited. If she can feel Zixx's mind, it is a racing rollercoaster of thoughts and feelings. A mile a minute. It's almost too much, but also a high of joy, love, curiosity, and excitement.
And oh, boy. She is not uncomfortable. She suddenly has you in a hug, side of her face to yours. "Oooooh. Youfeelgood. And I am an engineer, and in security... Maybe, sorta." She brushing her hands on her face and neck.

Leida took in the franticness of Zixx's thoughts, actually finding the change in pace a little exciting, as a good majority of people she had felt were pretty calm... Except Aaron when he was nervous. Then it was just plain adorable. Zixx she found to be refreshing, actually.
She gave another surprised squeak when she was suddenly hugged, and smiled, wrapping her arms around the bouncy Bolian as well, perfectly comfortable with the touch, the bridge between them letting there feelings just drift back and forth nicely.
"Security as well? How does that work?" She asked, curiosity one of her prevailing emotions that Zixx felt, as well as fondness, love, and a calm happiness. Kind of like Zixx herself, but a looooooot calmer.

"And a little medical!" She gets a near rush of the written word. Tons of it, random pats of different studies in no particular order. So much knowledge, so little sense of it. And she hasn't taken her hands off her face, squishing her cheeks.

"So goo hab a lub ub knowledge?" Leida spoke through her squished face, but thanks to the telepathy, Zixx would hear the words in her mind as clear as day. "It wooks wike woo know a bit of eberyting." She said, and would have smiled, but, well. That wasn't really physically possible at the moment.
