The Captain has likely invited Lamb to come greet the newcomer. She for this one, is not in her formal clothing. It is just an ensign after all. And they do informally know each other. She might just be there for a friendly greeting, more then an official one.
Zixx behind the controls of the transporter as the redhead nods to her. She giggles, and slides the appropriate keys.

The image of the granddaughter of the CMO appears. She's small, but she's polished for her first day, already in uniform. Her hair is slicked into a tight bun and she looks serious. As soon as she sees the Captain, she gives a salute. "Ensign Sadie Rogers, reporting for duty, sir."

The Captain gives a salute, but says, "At ease, Rogers." she smiles at her. "You look all grown up in your uniform."

Doctor Lamb was stood a little behind the captain. He smirked when he saw his granddaughter. He cleared his throat. "Do I get a salute Ensign?"

"Grandad!" She runs off the the transporter pad and gives him a big hug. Her accent immediately switches to meet his. "I've missed you so much! Mum sends her love, but I'm sure she'll call you to check in on me."

Lamb hugs his grandaughter and lifted her up and lowered her. "Is that anyway to greet your superior officer?" He held her out at arms length, "Look at you. All grown up. You're not a little girl any more. I am sure your mum will be calling soon. I bet she sent you to keep an eye on me." He chuckled, "Or was it the other way around?" He winked, having a laugh with his granddaughter.

The Captain chuckles lightly. "Well, I'll leave this one to you, shall I, Doctor Lamb?" she smirks. "I'm sure you can show her the place. " She starts to make her way toward the door...
...while, well, Zixx is leaning way WAAAAY too much curiosity over her counsel.

"I think it's a fantastic way to greet a superior officer who used to play tea party with me." She grinned. "And Gran sent your favorite cookies but I may have snuck one ore two." She was fantastically excited to see him.

"By all means come along. Unless you are busy that is." Lamb said after the captain. Lamb offered his arm for his grandaughter to take. As he was going to lead her outside the transporter room.

"Well that is understandable. As long as there are a few left for me." Lamb looked about, "Though less of the tea parties. I have a reputation to maintain." Lamb chuckled.
