That question told her a lot about a person, she found. So far it seemed to fit with this one.
"What?" she said, staring at Patrick for a moment, before realizing, and picking up a napkin to wipe the cream off her nose. "Oh, thank you," she chuckled.

"No problem, and yeah, I didn't really care which ship I was on, so long as I didn't have to work with my sister. Who is also a commander. In... engineering, we're very original twins," he rolled his eyes. "What am I going to do with this?" he glared at the corn.

Ava looked over at the bowl of corn, furrowing her brow slightly. "I believe there is a Terran dish that involves corn... succotash?" she said, stumbling over the word a bit. "Perhaps you could replicate the other ingredients and mix them."

"I'm sure you will," Ava smiled. "Replicator food is just tricky sometimes. It's fairly good with Betazoid cuisine, but it's nothing like the real thing," she added wistfully. "Not that I'm complaining, I enjoy trying new things as well."

He looked at the bowl, "The hell with it," and picked up a salt shaker and sprinkled salt onto the corn. "I'll just... eat this bowl of corn." he realized how weird that sounded as soon as the words came out of his mouth, but he really didn't know what to do with it. He wouldn't eat a bowl of just succotash, and a bowl of corn would be less vegetables, technically. He scooped the corn onto a spoon and into his mouth.
